Goo Gone Gone

Losing sight of the dark side of December.
It's just what the doctor ordered.

Not So Indifferent Anymore

Starting to pack.
Holding on to so many things.

Starting to wonder:
Can I hide?
Can I run away?
Am I ready to go back?

~

Horoscopes are an annual source of entertainment for me. It's almost like a ritual to add to the list of fruit hanging, fruit counting, screaming at the top of my lungs under comforters and pillows, and jumping as soon as the clock hits midnight. Anyway, I find that horoscopes can just be so general that anyone could put any experience they have within the day or the year and believe your reading in a heartbeat. Call me silly (like you may always do already), but mine's pretty spot on...

Roll Oh-Vah Tummy

Longest and weirdest hide-and-seek pose I ever held.
Go figure that I managed to set up my camera and still not get found.

Spent the entire day with my family and it was quite grand. As usual, the Tolentino dining room was filled with a lengthy banquet of appetizers, main courses, and desserts. Seconds, thirds, and forths were mandatory. We honestly could have fed the King, the King's horses and all of his men after the Humpty-Dumpty debacle. Ahem.
Naturally, we burned off a couple of calories by waking the ghosts in the house. Kid pile anyone?

Shake It Off! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

IT'S 2010. IT'S A NEW YEAR.

It's about time to let go of everything, count blessings, stay close to the people that genuinely care about you, and enjoy the heck out my life.
After all, life is too darn short to spend it on waiting, moping, and feeling sorry for yourself.

Do anything to make YOU happy.
Do ANYTHING that will make you smile.
Do something that will make you feel so damn worth while...

AND LIVE,
BREATHE,
LIKE YOU HAVEN'T BEFORE.

Goodbye 2009. Not going to miss you.

One Order of a Doctor on a Silver Platter, Please?

I cannot tell you how amazing it is to know that you have people that will always be there for you no matter how long you haven't seen each other.

A couple of my high school friends and I hung out around Main Street today. We hopped from Udon West to Quickly to boutiques sharing stories for about seven hours.

The stories varied from recent break-ups, new-found dates, to certain deaths, minimal threats, supernatural stories, dares, advice, and other girlie chitter-chatter that could fill a noisy room to its maximum.

We all needed it. At least, that's how it felt.
Stories were exchanged at a rapid pace. At one point, I was between two conversations going on my left and on my right. At another point there would also be three conversations going on, and somehow we all kept up despite the sporadic bathroom breaks we each had.
Change wasn't too evident. We were still the same except we all seemed to possess sharper tongues to specify that Pandora let men out of her box (thank you Jenny for that idea). Feminism hovered above our table like a flat gray Rochester cloud-sheet during the winter quarter. I might have fanned that flame all too well.
On a lighter note, we also confirmed that we would keep in touch for as long as we can (forever and ever and ever until the 19th of NEVER). And that I would have cute babies?

So You THINK You're An Animal?

You wish.

My cousin Jenny and I were at the Museum of Natural History. I was like a kid in a candy store jumping from one display to another, staring at the animals that were playing the game with me. It almost felt like I was on the other side of the glass case.

Just a couple of odds and ends:

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that's the Chinese symbol for king- which would also be the symbol for my last name.

This tree made me soo happy. They decorated with animal origami and mobiles which are two out of my list of favorite things.

We also visited the Butterfly exhibit. Loved it!!! :D

Oh and...

...heck yeah. A dessert after my two hotdogs from the city.

I'm Almost There!

{To Val}

Picture from this link.

{Before I fall into my Sibyl-Vane-mentality, I should type away...}

The Princess and the Frog is amazing. It brought back the spark and motivation I need to go back to school and face everything I wanted to run away from.
The story renewed my faith in the fairy tales I live by- the things that keep my little world spinning on its joyful axis. It also confirmed that little hope I had that happy endings exist---perhaps a happy ending that doesn't involve something you've wanted for the past couple of months (if not years), but maybe something close to that...if not better.

"I remember daddy told me fairy tales can come true.
But you gotta make them happen.
It all depends on you.
So I worked real hard each and every day.
Now things for sure are going my way.
Just doing what I do.
Look out boys I'm coming through.
And I'm almost there...."

A quote from the song "Almost There" from the soundtrack.

Don't ever let anyone tell you that you need to "sort out" those fairytales and once-upon-a-time-happily-ever-afters in your head. You can make them exist if you just work hard....and wish on an Evangeline.

My Reindeer Brings All the Boys to the Yard

This is the Reindeer that lives in my bag.
He'll be more than happy to show you the highlight of our day after his little intro (I guess?)

Reindeer here on behalf of Joijoi. I was pulled away from a mousse cake my brothers and I were stuck on before these greedy children could come and lick the icing off of us (thank the horns in the sky!). I'm not too fond of saliva.

Ah yes, good ol' Apple store. We waited here for quite awhile...watching kids toss penny after penny in the fountain...getting smoked on by hotdog vendors (yuck, have I told you I'm a vegetarian?)...getting chased by tourists...etc. Oh, and we probably ended up being in those cheesy touristy pictures.

We were here for one thing: the wonderful iMac which took a good amount of time to get.

Walking with that thing was a bumpy ride home. Not like I helped. I just ended up staying in her bag, rocking back and forth with the rest of her girly paraphernalia. It wasn't long 'til I decided to peak out and see what there is to see...

YAY COLORED THINGS (and cars....yipes!!!).

It wasn't too long 'til the bus came. Again, another bumpy ride, but hey...mission accomplished.

Yes, I've officially lost it (:

First official webcam photo using my iMac.
Imagine all the things I can accomplish with another me!!!
