Surviving Black Friday

Mannequins didn't eat me. However, their owners ate my money.

With my red coat, gray fedora, and purple suitcases, I safely made my way home with my family.

HOHOHOME

I'm home.
It feels sureal.
Like I've stepped into a different body.

I'm still a fatty though.
That never changes.

Corner

I've wondered why my parents (or parents in general) would make me go to a corner after I did something disobedient or rotten.
It makes complete sense: you're facing a blank, claustrophobic space where you unwillingly stay so you can think about what you did wrong, why it was wrong, the meaning of life, death, absolution, and Armageddon, and how the heck you're going to sweet talk your way out of that joint.

Funny how actions such as that could be carried on throughout your post-childhood years.
Just a couple minutes earlier, I found myself thinking with my forehead against a corner. I can't say it helped, but it was comical to just think about what my walls would have been saying to such a sight.

Lie

Everything will be this quiet very soon. We're all pretty dead and ready to collapse after 10 weeks of rigorous project spitting.

No more randomly passing out, I guess. The sad part of it all is that I'm going to miss it. I'm already going a little crazy not having anything to do today ):

~~~
I woke up at 3.
And I am still up.
And now, I am off to bed again.
Change?
White Rose Bush. White Houses. Coming of Age. Something that has to do with time.
Final images are up on my other blog and they're not really a series hah.
The End of The Day
So besides being blessed by the Jinx, I think today was slight of a success.
-surviving a ladder falling on me and walking away with a bump on my head
-shooting Will's Senior Portrait (Sarah's brother) and shooting both
-having my bike tire pop out
-getting covered in fake blood made out of chocolate syrup, corn syrup, and red food coloring in a prom dress and lying in the forest pretending to be dead
-finishing with edits for part 1 of my Alice in Wonderland series
-eating
~
The weekend wasn't bad either. I got to dance the night away at Brooke, Gloria, and Juliette's Space Party while donning a costume that made me the Queen of Pluto.
And of course...coming home to realize that I had a glow stick and two sparkly stars stuck in my crown-bun that I took off to get these fairly amusing webcam shots.
~
Friday was a day for constant shooting. From about 9:00 am 'til 11:00 pm at night, I stayed in the studios to shoot and set up (and er, chat with my favorite 4th floor cagers and other awesome peeps) two scenes from my Alice in Wonderland series. A few outtakes of the set ups:
The final shots for these are found on my other blog for my school work: joiong.blogspot.com
The Years Can Change a Baby into Something
We're all shape-shifters. Kind of. Some are faster at changing while others decide to wallow in a comfort zone. The other others are those that feed off of other people's characteristics because they either lack the confidence of accepting themselves or they barely have a grasp of who they are.
Time favors the patient, right? So I guess it's worth waiting for a select group of people.
Clothing Routine of a Weirdo
Laying clothes beside me so they can dream. It's almost some sort of physical preparation for the next day for them;
when all they can do is just cling to me just how a snail does to a leaf.
