I Wanna Hit You Just to See if You Cry

5 A.M.
...my day began.

Needless to say, Crespo and I were still very hopeful. There was much room for doubt and it was suitable: doubt usually saves you from total and complete disappointment. By 6:30, the line for Twelfth Night has extended to the running road. Shakespeare in the Park people told us that it would be impossible at that point to get tickets so we decided to hang around the city until the picnic-- which, mind you, would begin afternoon.

Taken at 6:50 AM.

I plopped my beach blanket on the road since evidence from last night's rain hasn't fully evaporated. We met lots of friends that way. Mostly dogs that I befriended and that Crespo ran from.
Breakfast consisted of pears, popcorn, and cheesecake brownies. We managed to kill about two hours talking about girly things that high school has trained us for. She also mentioned (in great detail) about her wedding plans before and after we played with hippos.

A little after nine, we decided to head for the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Getting through the doors took great connivery. Plans were made thanks to Crespo and we were through the side doors, yellow pins and all, by 10:50.

Let's just say that we were official bad-asses at that point.

They changed a good portion of the museum around and by doing so, I was able to explore other places I've never really been to like the Arts of Africa, Oceania, and the Americas section. I loved it.

Just as a side note, I would probably be ridiculously scared if I were trapped in there overnight.

We killed a good amount of time by walking around. My legs and eyes worked in tandem as the art zombie possessed me (you know, if zombie ghosts can possess without eating your flesh).

I found one of my favorite sculptors Alberto Giacometti.

As bubbly as Crespo is, I love our constant adventures that consist of laughter, jeering, further mocking, and blocking her out and walking away. But really, I do love her. Probably more than Andre does (Bring it, bizznotch :P).

"Hey, wait...did you know that your camera was upside down when you took that photo?"
"..."

We took the elevator to see the new installation on the roof. The awesomeness of Roxy Paine's "Maelstrom" greeted us together with Mr. Bluesky.

Loved it. Most definitely visiting it again when I come back...

...which would probably be very, very soon since I've given myself 'til the end of this month to chill in the city.
Oh and I am most definitely coming back to see this:

I got in trouble for taking photos of this display, but hey, I have evidence that I saw it?

Amazingness lies within. I was more than ecstatic to see a mock-Avedon display. Crespo can fill you in with the details of how exactly I reacted.

And finally...the picnic began...

It was a mini re-union for those who could come. And I can tell you now, it was a blast.

We caught up, had food, and enjoyed the company of ten. After stuffing ourselves, we decided to play frisbee. At some point, there were three frisbees being thrown around. All the giggling made the group of half naked guys to play beside us. By far, we were comparitively cuter than they were.

Ess made a friend with this little girl.

Her name's Lilly and she most definitely had a blast with Leslie.

Silences were enjoyed as much as the laughter that filled our nook.

Puppies came to visit and enjoyed our company as well (:

The picnic came to an end at a little before six.

~

Oh and we climbed Jess's favorite tree.

I love my friends...

...a whole lot.

I am more than certain that they'll be with me for a long, long while.
